The stove guy was born on February 15, 1958 in san Bernardino, ca. After moving to Las Vegas when he was five he started working in masonry as soon as he could push a wheel barrel. Starting from the age of eight he was out making mud and stocking block with his dad. He went to western high school where he was a track star as well as a tri-athlete. After graduating High school (class of 1977), he started a masonry company that specialized in CUSTOM brick and stone work. after years of hard work and dedication it evolved into Alexander's Masonry which has been in business for over 20 years. After fifty plus years in the masonry business he developed a great interest for old stoves and started collecting and restoring them in 2012. this passion that david DEVELOPED led him to meet gary davis, which some may know as "the round oak man" who has been in the stove restoration business for over 45 years. Gary has been a mentor to david and over time became one of his closest friends. thanks to gary's mentorship, dedication, passion, and friendship to david, he will be forever grateful to gary davis, roundoakman.com. Having the upmost appreciation for the passion that the original creators put into each individual stove he takes pride in paying tribute and understanding how each stove works. finding great joy in putting something back together that was broken and making it work, he absolutely loves bringing these stoves back to life. unfortunately, most have been disregarded for decades, and some even a century, but thanks to david, they are all fully restored and fully functional just as they were the day they came off the line. The love and time he puts into each stove shows in the finished product. all this in hopes that the work he does would be acceptable to the original creators of these BEAUTIFUL PIECES OF AMERICAN HISTORY.
